Set up a Flagsmith connector

The connector syncs the members of a single Flagsmith organisation as user identities. Each user carries their organisation membership role — Admin or User — so you can see who holds administrative access to the organisation.

Gather Flagsmith credentials

You need an Organisation API key. It grants management access to every project in the organisation, so treat it as a secret.

1. Sign in to Flagsmith as a member of the organisation you want to sync.

2. Click the organisation name in the top navigation, open the API Keys tab, and select Create API Key. Give the key a descriptive name and copy the generated token — you will not be able to see it again.

3. Note your organisation’s numeric ID. It appears in the dashboard URL after you select an organisation (for example, https://app.flagsmith.com/organisation/12345/projects → 12345).

Configure the Flagsmith connector

Cloud-hosted

Follow these instructions to use a built-in, no-code connector hosted by C1.

1. In C1, navigate to Apps > Connectors and click Add connector.

2. Search for Flagsmith and click Add.

3. Choose where to add the connector: Create a new app, or Add to an existing app (then select the app).

   If you’re creating a new app, choose whether to link it to an application discovered from your identity provider: select Yes and pick the IdP application, or No to continue with just the connector.

4. Set the connector’s Name and, optionally, a Description.

5. Click the pencil icon next to Owners to choose who can configure and manage this connector.

6. Click Add. The connector is created and its configuration page opens.

7. Find the Settings area of the page and click Edit.

8. Enter the Flagsmith credentials:

   • Organisation ID: The numeric ID of the organisation to sync, such as 12345.
   • API key: The Organisation API key you created.
   • Base URL: Leave blank to use Flagsmith cloud. If you run a self-hosted Flagsmith, enter your own API origin, such as https://flagsmith.example.com/api, with no trailing slash.
9. Click Save.

10. The connector’s label changes to Syncing, followed by Connected. You can view the logs to ensure that information is syncing.

Done. Your Flagsmith connector is now pulling access data into C1.

Self-hosted

Follow these instructions to run the Flagsmith connector in your own environment.

1. Create secrets for the Flagsmith credentials.

2. Configure the connector environment variables:

   • BATON_FLAGSMITH_ORGANISATION_ID: The numeric ID of the organisation to sync.
   • BATON_FLAGSMITH_API_KEY: The Organisation API key (store this as a secret).
   • BATON_FLAGSMITH_BASE_URL: Optional. Leave unset for Flagsmith cloud, or set it to your self-hosted API origin (for example https://flagsmith.example.com/api).
3. Deploy the connector using your standard self-hosted connector process.

Done. Your Flagsmith connector is now pulling access data into C1.
