The connector syncs your Productboard workspace members as user identities. Each member carries their workspace role — admin, maker, contributor, or viewer — as a profile attribute. The access model is flat: roles are attributes on the member, so the connector emits no separate entitlements or grants.

This connector uses Productboard API v1, which Productboard has announced will be retired on July 8, 2026. After that date the connector will stop syncing until it is migrated to Productboard API v2. Plan to update before the sunset date.

Gather Productboard credentials

You need Productboard workspace administrator access to create an API access token.

1. In Productboard, go to Settings > Integrations > Public API.

2. Generate an Access Token. The token reads the members of the workspace it is created in; the connector only ever reads (it never writes).

3. Copy the generated token — you will provide it when configuring the connector.

Configure the Productboard connector

Cloud-hosted

Follow these instructions to use a built-in, no-code connector hosted by C1.

1. In C1, navigate to Apps > Connectors and click Add connector.

2. Search for Productboard and click Add.

3. Choose where to add the connector: Create a new app, or Add to an existing app (then select the app).

   If you’re creating a new app, choose whether to link it to an application discovered from your identity provider: select Yes and pick the IdP application, or No to continue with just the connector.

4. Set the connector’s Name and, optionally, a Description.

5. Click the pencil icon next to Owners to choose who can configure and manage this connector.

6. Click Add. The connector is created and its configuration page opens.

7. Find the Settings area of the page and click Edit.

8. Enter the Productboard credentials:

   • Productboard API Token: The access token you created.
9. Click Save.

10. The connector’s label changes to Syncing, followed by Connected. You can view the logs to ensure that information is syncing.

Done. Your Productboard connector is now pulling access data into C1.

Self-hosted

Follow these instructions to run the Productboard connector in your own environment.

1. Create a secret for the Productboard access token.

2. Configure the connector environment variables:

   • PRODUCTBOARD_API_TOKEN: The access token you created (store this as a secret).
3. Deploy the connector using your standard self-hosted connector process.

Done. Your Productboard connector is now pulling access data into C1.
